About the Department

Shibli National College got accreditation of NIELIT previously DOEACC SOCIETY ( An autonomous Scientific Society of Department of Information Technology Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Govt of India) for conduct of its O level course vide Letter NO DOEACC/Prov-1608 Dated 05/01/2009, Accreditation Number O1819.

Vision

• To produce skilled and motivated graduates through a meticulous curriculum of theory and application that improves the ability to solve problems, individually and in teams.
• Imparting knowledge of fundamental principles and technologies through pedagogy within the core areas of computer application and also in inter-disciplinary areas.

Mission

• To instruct learning of the emerging technologies to pursue higher studies leading to lifelong learning.
• Construct a productive partnership with the community through the projects of students.

ABOUT NIELIT

National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT),(erstwhile DOEACC Society), an Autonomous Scientific Society under the administrative control of Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MoE&IT), Government of India, was set up to carry out Human Resource Development and related activities in the area of Information, Electronics & Communications Technology (IECT). NIELIT is engaged both in Formal & Non-Formal Education in the area of IECT besides development of industry oriented quality education and training programmes in the state-of-the-art areas. NIELIT has endeavored to establish standards to be the country’s premier institution for Examination and Certification in the field of IECT. It is also one of the National Examination Body, which accredits institutes/organizations for conducting courses in IT in the non-formal sector.

• Successful Career: To produce Computer Application graduates who will be effective as entry level CS/IT professionals.
• Technical Expertise: Implement fundamental domain knowledge of core languages/courses for developing effective computing solution by incorporating creativity & logical reasoning.
• The students will be able to develop leadership skills & incorporate teamwork along with the practice of ethical and moral values.
• To produce Computer Application graduates who will be used as skilled candidates for higher education in multidisciplinary field of CS and IT.
