Situated at the eastern strip of sprawling state of Uttar Pradesh and far from the hustle bustle of the present day cosmopolitan cities, Shibli National College with its long and cherished record of dedicated service to the cause of advancement of education in east U.P. has definitely carved out a niche for itself in the history of education in India.
Founded by the great and internationally acknowledged savant, Allama Shibli Nomani, as “National School” in 1883- even two years ahead of the birth of Indian National Congress when even the use of the word “National” was considered crime. The founder, Allama Shibli , was quite ahead of his time and has very aptly realized the need and value of modern education coupled with traditional and cultural ethos of muslims in India. National School from the modest beginning to its present stature has now fully blossomed into a radiating centre of higher education and learning, inspite of its muslim minority character.
